Topographic

Hospital Development Site

Junior Surveyor

Hurlingham, Nairobi

Topographic capture of a hospital property for planning and design, using GNSS RTK over CORS.

Surveyed the property boundary and every significant feature — buildings, trees, boundary points — with quality checks throughout. Dense tree canopy slowed GNSS initialization in places, solved with extra observation time rather than cut corners.

Construction Site Survey

Site Surveyor

Parklands, Nairobi

Combined GNSS and total-station capture where a basement blocked satellite visibility.

Open areas were covered by GNSS RTK; the obstructed basement level was captured with a total station for spot heights. The two datasets were merged into one complete horizontal-and-elevation model of the site.

1,000-Acre Farm Mapping

Survey Trainee

Ruai

Geodetic control plus DJI enterprise drone capture across a 1,000-acre parcel.

Two-hour static GNSS observation processed against CORS data established control, then an RTK base supported the UAV survey for georeferenced, mapping-ready imagery at scale.

Sleeping Warrior Terrain Mapping

Survey Trainee

Lake Elementaita

≈200-acre UAV photogrammetry survey from GCP setup through final contour production.

Ground control points and static GNSS gave the flight its precision baseline. Office processing carried the data from aligned images through a dense point cloud, orthomosaic, DEM, and high-precision contours to a finished cartographic layout.

Construction-Planning Drone Survey

Survey Trainee

Karen, Nairobi

Aerial capture and DEM/DTM outputs to support construction planning.

Boundary verification and RTK base setup preceded the flight; office work carried the imagery through alignment, orthomosaic generation, and DEM/DTM creation for the design team.

TATU Dam Bathymetry

Data Processor

TATU

Converted raw depth soundings into an engineering-ready terrain model.

CSV depth data was built into an elevation grid, then contoured and surfaced in Global Mapper before final layout in AutoCAD Civil 3D — turning bathymetric readings into something an engineer can design against.

Pipe Setting-Out

Surveyor

Kileleshwa, Nairobi

Positioned pipeline points on-site from engineering DWG drawings.

Design points were cross-checked against DWG drawings and converted to CSV for the field kit. On-site beacon checks revealed control discrepancies, resolved through localization before the pipe points were set out with confidence.

Coordinate Transformation & Subdivision Prep

GIS / Survey Support

Nairobi

Cassini-to-UTM transformation feeding subdivision design in Civil 3D.

Field data was georeferenced and transformed to UTM, checked against world imagery in Global Mapper, then exported as clean vectors into AutoCAD Civil 3D for subdivision layout.
